Highlights of the Chili Cook-Off
Established in 2006, The Simon Kenton Chili Cook-Off and Hoopla Parade always takes place on the 4th Saturday in September. The family-friendly event has activities for the children and the adults, so no one will be bored. Rain or Shine...It's always a good time! Attendance and parking at the street festival is FREE.

Enter the cooking or eating contests yourself or enjoy as a spectator. Sample chili from the upwards of 25 cooks facing off, and cast your vote for your favorite.
Try out other food options such as local restaurants, food trucks, and other food vendors that will be on site. Visit the beer garden for a drink to wash it all down.
Get caught up in the fun atmosphere of a small town street festival. From the hoopla parade to the dunk tank to the corn hole competition, this is classic Americana. You don't want to miss it!
Bring the kids, listen to the live bands, vote for your favorite chili, and maybe even partake in a pepper eating contest.
Browse the booths of over 30 vendors for unique and cool finds. Visit the locally owned retail shops that anchor the Square with their reputation for fine antiques, vintage decor, and clothing.
